Bacon Cheddar Bread - Millstone

International Bacon Day is the perfect occasion to whip up this crowd-pleaser recipe for your customers.

Yield: 20 loaves

INGREDIENTS:

  • 25 cups of Millstone White Bread Wheat Flour
  • 42 g Salt
  • 718 g Sugar
  • 4 kg Back Bacon fried and roughly chopped
  • 20 cups of Cheddar cheese grated
  • 2.5 cups of Parsley chopped
  • 2.5 cups of Vegetable Oil
  • 2.5 cups of extra-large Eggs
  • 15 cups of Milk

METHOD:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180°C. Spray bread pans with cooking spray and line the bottom with baking paper.
  2. Sift the flour, salt and sugar together. Add the bacon, cheddar and parsley and stir to combine.
  3. Beat the oil, eggs and milk together in a separate bowl. Add to the flour mixture and mix well.
  4. Separate into 20 equal pieces of dough. Transfer mixture to the prepared pans and bake 50 – 60 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.
  5. Remove from oven, leave to cool in pan for 5 minutes – turn out onto a cooling rack.
